Leading a creative team is a balancing act.

People

In various roles as studio head, I’ve identified new roles, hired new talent, run appraisals, dealt with conflict, supported staff through personal crises, improved morale, enforced discipline, initiated disciplinary processes, given formal warnings, identified and ultimately removed under-performing staff, made redundancies, and taken a pragmatic view of staff strengths and weaknesses.

Processes

I’ve documented processes, created guides, introduced weekly progress meetings and project reviews for continuous improvement, achieved company visa sponsor status, created automated productivity assets and generally innovated change.

Personal

I take a supportive, flexible and nurturing approach to my colleagues, lead by example, and expect honesty, integrity and application from myself and others.
